All 3D Labs’ HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing service produces strong, functional parts with fine details and sharp edges that are suitable for a wide range of demanding applications.
By controlling the 3D printing process at the voxel level (think of a voxel as a pixel but in three dimensions) MJF 3D printing delivers excellent surface finish and mechanical properties to your parts.
Parts 3D printed with MJF compare favourably against injection moulding without the extreme up-front costs required for tooling. For low- to medium-volume runs, MJF is the cheaper, faster and more flexible solution.
All 3D Labs’ MJF 3D printing service uses Nylon PA 12 material (datasheet) in either black or grey. Nylon PA 12 is a true all-rounder, delivering strength and high density as well as excellent chemical resistance and even biocompatibility.
The speed of MJF 3D printing, combined with the high recyclability of the material within the system, means parts are delivered to you more quickly
A layer of powder is deposited and compacted, then two chemical agents are applied: a fusing agent and a detailing agent. These are then put under infrared lamps so the layer can fuse to the next. This process is repeated layer by layer until you have your part.
